Get Dental Implants

How it works, start to finish

Five steps from the first form to the last appointment. This page says who does what at each one, how long it usually takes, and exactly when money changes hands, because not knowing that is what stops most people from starting.

It is not just about teeth

When your teeth affect your everyday life

You deserve to understand your options.

Avoiding certain foods. Hiding your smile. Putting off a conversation because you are worried about the cost. If any of that feels familiar, you are not alone.
Start with a conversation. A consultant can explain the treatment options and ways to pay, then help arrange an assessment with an independent partner dentist when you are ready.

The process

The five steps

Nothing hidden, nothing assumed.

Timings are what we typically see rather than commitments, because several of the decisions along the way are not ours to make.

01

You get in touch

You fill in the form with your name, mobile, email and closest city. That is the whole of it, and it takes about a minute. An automated text goes out within moments asking whether you would like to know more, so you know the message landed. You can reply to that text or simply wait for the call.

Takes a minute

02

A consultant calls you

A real person, not a receptionist. They explain what the $75 consultation covers, answer your questions about treatment and about cost, and ask how you are thinking of paying so they can tell you honestly what is realistic. If it sounds right to you, they take the $75 deposit by card and book you with the partner dentist that suits your situation best. Consultants cannot assess super eligibility, and they will tell you that themselves.

Usually the same day

03

You see the dentist

A full examination with X-rays and 3D scans, then a written treatment plan with itemised costs and different cost options to suit your budget. The dentist explains every payment route and, where it is relevant, gives you their view on whether you are likely to qualify for early release of super. You leave with the plan whether or not you decide to go ahead.

Typically 1 to 2 weeks later

04

You sort out the funding

Three routes, and you choose. Paying outright goes straight to booking your treatment dates. A payment plan is set up by the clinic or a finance provider, usually decided within days. If super is your path, your dentist provides the clinical reports and you apply directly using the ATO's instructions.

Days, or 1 to 3 months for super

05

Treatment begins

Once the funding is in place you pay the partner dentist directly and they book your dates. Treatment is delivered over one or more appointments depending on what your plan says, and the clinic looks after you through all of it. What happens afterwards, including reviews and adjustments, is set out in the plan you were given in step three.

Get Dental Implants is not a dental practice and does not provide dental treatment. All clinical decisions, including what treatment suits you and whether you are likely to qualify for early release of super, are made by the treating dentist after an examination and 3D scans. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks.

Money

When you actually pay

Once before treatment, and once for treatment.

People assume there is a fee for a service like ours. There is not. The first and only thing you pay before treatment is the consultation itself.
The $75 deposit is taken on the consultant call and it covers the whole appointment, including the imaging that would usually be billed separately. It is valued at $375. After that, you pay the partner dentist for treatment, on whichever route you choose, and never through us.

Nothing here locks you in

Not the form, not the call, not the consultation.

A lot of people hesitate at step one because they think an enquiry is the start of a process they will struggle to get out of. It is not.
The only thing that ever binds you is a treatment agreement with the partner dentist, and that comes long after you have a written plan in your hand and have had time to think about it. Everything before that point is information gathering, and walking away from it is a normal outcome we see every week.

Common questions

About the process

The steps, the timings and the money.

If something about the process is still unclear, the first call is free and exists precisely for that.

Ask before you commit to anything.

Step one takes about a minute. A consultant calls you back, usually the same day, and talks you through the rest of it.

Book your $75 consult →

From your first enquiry to sitting in the dentist's chair is typically one to two weeks, depending on clinic availability. After that it depends entirely on how you are paying and what your treatment plan says.
A payment plan is usually decided within days. An ATO application for early release of super typically takes one to three months in our experience, which is our observation rather than a commitment by anyone.
The first time money changes hands is on the consultant call, when the $75 deposit is taken by card to book your consultation. Nothing before that. The call itself is free and there is no obligation.
After the consultation you pay the partner dentist directly for treatment, on whichever payment route you choose. We never take a payment for treatment.
You get an automated text within moments asking whether you would like to know more. Reply to it, or wait for the call.
A consultant calls you, usually the same day. They are a real person rather than a receptionist, and they can answer questions about treatment, cost and every payment option before anything is booked.
No, and they will say so. Consultants cannot determine eligibility for early release of super. Only the treating dentist can assess whether you are likely to qualify, and only the ATO decides.
What the consultant can do is explain how the process works, what the ATO requires, and what it will cost you to find out. Eligibility requires acute or chronic dental pain, that treatment is not readily available through the public health system, and that you cannot otherwise afford it.
No. You leave with the written treatment plan, itemised with different cost options to suit your budget, and it is yours. Take it home, think about it, show it to whoever you want to show it to.
Deciding not to proceed is no problem at all and it happens regularly. Nobody from our side will chase you about it.
Yourself, and any recent X-rays if you happen to have them. Everything else is taken on the day, including the OPG and the 3D CBCT scan, and all of it is included in the $75.
It helps to come with your questions written down. Most people forget half of them otherwise, and this is the appointment where asking them is free.
We welcome enquiries from the regional areas listed on the locations page. Our partner clinics also draw patients from well beyond the city itself, and some people travel in and plan the trip around their appointments.
If we cannot help you, we will say so on the first call, before you have spent anything.

Your next step

Work out if this is right for you.

A consultant talks you through treatment, likely costs and all the payment options on the phone, so you have a clear picture before deciding what to do next.

Talk to a consultant

Three quick questions, then your details. A consultant calls you, usually the same day.

How many teeth are missing or failing?
How are you thinking of paying?

There is no wrong answer, and nothing here is a commitment. It only tells the consultant what to talk you through first. Early release of super is decided by the ATO, requires acute or chronic dental pain, and is never guaranteed. Read how each route works.

We will only use your details to contact you about dental implant treatment. Read our privacy policy.
